Help Our Sweet Pup Walk Again – IVDD Emergency
Hi everyone,
On Friday, our beloved dog started showing signs of back pain, so we rushed her to the emergency vet. By Saturday morning, our worst fear became reality — she could no longer use her back legs. She was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), a serious condition that affects the spine and can lead to paralysis.
Our pup is not just a pet — she’s family. She’s full of love, spunk, and the kind of joy only a dog can bring. Watching her struggle has been heartbreaking, but there is hope. With surgery, medication, and rehab, she has a chance to walk again.
Update on our sweet Demi girl. She had surgery Saturday night. She did really well. She spent Sunday recovering, She will remain at the hospital for probably the next 4 days to receive the care she needs. They are working with her and she's participating in physical therapy. We are remaining hopefully that she regain the use of her back legs.
Little Demi is trying her best to make a come back. She will be on bedrest for the next 3 weeks, we will be working with her at home doing her physical
therapy. She will then have her 4 week follow up appointment. From there she will need to start a more intensive work out with a physical therapist for the next 6 monthes. At the end of the 6 month marker, where she is at the end of therpy will be her new norm.
We’re so grateful for any support you can give — whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
