Hi, my name is Ijeanetta Guild and I am the cousin of Demetrius Nelson. Demetrius is a 33 year old parent of 3 young children and she is facing a life threatening heart condition. She has Marfan Syndrome which is s a genetic condition that weakens the body's connective tissue. Because of this, she has developed a dangerous aortic aneurysm and is suffering an aortic dissection. The doctors at the University of Michigan will be performing a major heart surgery to save her life. on January 16th, 2026. Right now, she is unable to work while undergoing testing and preparing for surgery and recovery. This fundraiser is to help cover basic needs, medical expenses, and to give her a piece of mind during recovery after her surgery as she will still be unable to return to work.
