Hello, my name is Demetrius Conley Jr. I'm from Chicago, Illinois. I'm currently making a GoFundMe to help assist with medical and personal assistance.

I applied for a medical card for Illinois, but they denied me and offered me insurance for a pregnant woman (I can't have kids). Since then, I was getting help from a Catholic hospital to help with my medication (the clinic I go to has since closed down, and no insurance means I can't see my doctors). For those who don't know, I have systolic congestive heart failure, which is NOT a curable illness.

Since I can't get any help from the state, I picked up a part-time job that won't interfere with my health conditions or put me back in the hospital. Since I'm part-time, I don't get insurance. Two of my medications, Entresto and Jardiance, alone cost $1200.00 a month. I'm currently asking for assistance until I'm able to get back on my feet. This is not a scam; anyone who knows me knows how hard it was for me to even make this decision to start a GoFundMe. The state is not offering any help, to be honest, and it's to the point this is my last option.
