We want to take this moment to celebrate the life of our dad, Robert (Bob) Thompson. He lived a very full life taking care of his family and friends. His health and battle with Parkinson's disease meant that he had to spend the past few years in an assisted living facility and then finally memory care. Parkinson's dementia care was a constant balancing act we were learning and adapting to each day.
The Gardens at Providence Place on Charlie Daniels Parkway in Mt. Juliet, TN was dad's memory care facility. They are a wonderful facility that worked with us to make sure he had the best care possible. They welcomed our input and were patient with our focused involvement in all things related to taking care of dad. They grieved with us when our dad died on March 17th. We know there are many things that can help make dementia care easier for the memory care residents.
In lieu of flowers for his service this weekend, we would love to raise some financial support to make a gift to The Gardens at Providence Place specifically for their dementia care program and needs.
