Support Deloris With Her Medical Recovery
Donation protected
Over the past 7 months, my mom has been dealing with the removal of her golf ball-sized kidney stone. During one of her wellness checks, her doctor discovered that she'd been harboring this kidney stone for the past 8 years.
Since October of last year, she and her doctor had tried to reduce the size of the stone using laser and shock-wave treatments to break it up as much as possible.
Due to the scale and severity of her situation, on April 10, she went in for her final procedure, where she underwent surgery to remove the stone as a whole.
During her 3-hour-long surgery, they entered her back to access her kidney and ultimately had to remove her stone through her urethra.
Since this entire process began, my mother hasn’t been able to be as active as she usually is. She was advised that she can’t work out, stand long enough to sing in her Tennessee mass choir, pick up her baby grandson, or even work in her garden.
Doing these things gives her life meaning and helps keep her active as she ages.
As many of you know, Deloris rarely asks for help but has recently been burdened by an inordinate amount of medical bills since this process started.
I want to acknowledge that we are living in challenging times in America, but this is my way of trying to help my mom recover the cost of her $10,000 plus medical bills.
If you can help in any way, we'd be so grateful for your support. Thanks for your consideration, and I'll keep everyone updated as she goes through her recovery process.
Can’t donate? Would you consider sharing this campaign to help us get the word out? Thank you!
