In December of 2024, my mom, Delores Levno, fell and broke her hip. What we thought would be a long but manageable recovery has turned into something much more difficult.

Since that day, she's had three separate hip surgeries. The most recent one was especially serious as she shattered her hip in eight pieces and can't put any weight on it for six weeks. Each surgery has meant giving up more of her independence, and if you know my mom, you know!! She's had to give up her apartment and has been living with me since March.

My Mom is home with us now!! Her surgeon wants her to focus on her upper body strength and her gait. No hip strengthening exercises until January.

Her attitude is good, thank God she likes to read and is still sharp as a tack!
