Support Delilah's Mission to Heal Winston

Hi there!

I'm raising these funds for Delilah! You all know and love her.

When Delilah and her roommates first got Winston, they received him from a woman they worked with. She told them that Winston was a good dog and they took her word for it. They went, met him, everything was good until they got him home. When they got Winston home they discovered he had a litany of health and behavioral issues due to this woman leaving him outside chained up in the back yard every single day from morning until night.

Delilah and her roommates have all done everything within their power to help this poor dog. They tried to get this woman to pay for training, for his vet bills, for stuff that should have been taken care of before she pawned him off on them. This woman promised to give them the money for his training and pulled back.

For months now they've done everything they can to try and rehome Winston. They checked shelters daily to see if they could find him a safe place to drop him off in where he wouldn't be killed. One shelter finally called back, and when they finally took him there they said they would kill him. They decided again to continue looking for a home. Craigslist, facebook, vetted groups, asking vets, you name it they tried it.

Finally about a week ago we thought that we had found Winston a forever home. Delilah joined a facebook group for pet lovers to rehome their dogs. This particular group is so thoroughly vetted that they CALLED Delilah on the phone to make sure she wasn't a dog breeder or a puppy mill and interviewed her. So when this woman approached Delilah had her guard down. This woman told Delilah after Delilah was very open with her about all of Winston's problems, that she was a vet tech, they had a lab that looked just like Winston, she would take him to work every day with him and get him all the help he needed.

We were so relieved.

Then less than a day later she dropped him off at animal control. Delilah had to fight tooth and nail to get him out of there, but that woman almost damned him to his death after many nights of all of us worrying but namely and mostly so Delilah.

This money and this fundraiser is because she's getting Winston back. This is to help him get the medicine he needs, money to get him out of the pound, and hopefully get them a little money to get him training. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for any help you can offer.
