Hello everyone, my name is Andrea and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my dad, Delfino.

My dad was recently hospitalized and doctors discovered blood clots in his leg and lungs. Shortly after, he was diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer. We were told it is incurable, but treatment is an option to help give him more time with us.

He has since been discharged from the hospital, but we now face a long road ahead filled with countless doctor’s appointments, chemotherapy, medications, and unexpected expenses. My dad is no longer able to work, and with all of his family being in Mexico, I will be his primary caregiver here in the U.S.

My dad has always been a hardworking, humble man who has given so much to his family and those around him. It breaks my heart to see him go through this, but I am determined to fight alongside him every step of the way.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly toward his treatment, medical bills, and daily living expenses as he battles this disease. Any amount, big or small, will truly make a difference for us during this difficult time. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page and keeping my dad in your prayers means the world to us.

Hola a todos, mi nombre es Andrea y estoy organizando este GoFundMe para mi papá, Delfino.

Recientemente mi papá fue hospitalizado y los doctores descubrieron coágulos de sangre en su pierna y en sus pulmones. Poco después, le diagnosticaron cáncer rectal en etapa 4. Nos dijeron que no tiene cura, pero que el tratamiento es una opción para darle más tiempo con nosotros.

Desde entonces ha sido dado de alta del hospital, pero ahora enfrentamos un largo camino lleno de citas médicas, quimioterapias, medicamentos y gastos inesperados. Mi papá ya no puede trabajar y, como toda su familia está en México, yo seré su cuidadora principal aquí en Estados Unidos.

Mi papá siempre ha sido un hombre trabajador y humilde que ha dado tanto a su familia y a quienes lo rodean. Me parte el corazón verlo pasar por esto, pero estoy decidida a luchar a su lado en cada paso del camino.

Todos los fondos recaudados en esta campaña se destinarán directamente a su tratamiento, cuentas médicas y gastos diarios mientras enfrenta esta enfermedad. Cualquier cantidad —grande o pequeña— realmente marcará la diferencia para nosotros en este momento tan difícil.
