Hi, I'm Thupten Donyo, and I’m reaching out to you to support the incredible work of the Delek Children's Foundation.

We are pleased to announce our upcoming Vision Care Camp 2026, a humanitarian initiative that will bring critical eye care services to remote communities in Arunachal Pradesh. This important program will take place in September 2026 in partnership with renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Bidya Prasad Pant from Nepal. For many years, our foundation has been committed to improving the health and well-being of undeserved communities. This year will mark our sixth Free Eye Camp serving vulnerable populations in India and Nepal.

The 2026 Vision Care Camp will be held in two remote locations in West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh : Tenzingang, a Tibetan refugee settlement, and Dirang. These Himalayan communities, located near the borders of Tibet and Bhutan, have limited access to specialized medical care. As a result, many villagers—especially elderly residents—suffer from untreated eye conditions such as cataracts, which often lead to preventable blindness.

To ensure that more people can receive treatment, we will conduct the camp in two separate locations, making it easier for villagers who cannot travel long distances to access care.

Under the leadership of Dr. Pant and a dedicated team of volunteers, the Vision Care Camp will provide:

• Free eye examinations for hundreds of patients

• Cataract surgeries for those suffering from preventable blindness

• Prescription eyeglasses for individuals with vision impairment

• Community education on eye health and preventive care

• Essential medical supplies and equipment for the camp

• Food, clothing, and basic support for vulnerable families

Through this initiative, we hope to restore sight, independence, and dignity to hundreds of individuals.
