De’leishya Richardson, a vibrant, loving 31 yr old mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend to so many suffered multiple cardiac arrests in mid-September, following the sudden death of her beloved grandfather. She fought hard in the ICU at Scott & White until stabilized and the family was able to move her to Scott & White Continuing Care. Though initially showing signs of improvement De’leishya suffered another cardiac arrest October 29th. She was promptly transferred back to ICU where treatment was administered but the further damage to brain function was rendered irreparable. De’leishya was surround by loved ones as she passed peacefully on November 4th.

Prior to September De’leishya had faced many medical challenges. Though she fought like a fierce warrior, she was more concerned about the well-being of others than her own pain. Her mother and closest friends stood by her side every step of the way.

De’leishya had heart of gold and touched many lives in her short life. She was a woman who would do anything to put a smile on the faces of those around her. She truly lit up any room when she entered. She was down for any adventure and always made the most mundane activities memorable. She loved her young daughter deeply and was so proud of each milestone she accomplished. De’leishya is survived by her daughter Nylah, her mother Terance Richardson and brother De’Andre Richardson.

In the midst of their deep grief and loss, her family is faced with high medical and funeral expenses. Her family and closest friends invite you to help De’leishya’s family with contributions to support their financial needs during this most difficult time and loss.
