Hi, my name is Delanie, and asking for help like this is something I never thought I’d have to do. A rare neurological condition called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) has taken over my life, leaving me in constant pain and unable to work or live the way I once did.

IIH can cause dangerously high pressure around my brain, leading to severe daily headaches and so many other debilitating symptoms. My condition has progressed to the point where I can no longer work currently, and my doctors have determined that surgery is necessary after failing treatment with harsh medication.

Because I’m unable to work, I’m struggling to afford basic living expenses. Alongside mounting medical expenses, I’m facing the reality of covering rent, utilities, food and other essential daily needs while preparing for surgery and recovery. This has been incredibly stressful and overwhelming.
