Dear reader,

My purpose in fundraising is to find, and ask, for your support regarding an opportunity I hope to have at the end of June/ beginning of July of 2026.

I will be entering my senior year of high school at Century this coming fall where I will continue to take part in my school’s audition band, Wind Ensemble, for my third consecutive year. I have been playing my select instrument, the clarinet, for the past seven years, and I have continued to have the ability to take on more challenging opportunities, which have grown me not only as a musician, but as a student, peer, and person. Through my continued exploration and passion for music I have gotten to be a part of a supportive and refining community that is truly irreplaceable and life changing.

Earlier this month I was informed that I had been nominated to be part of a select honor group in the 2026 Star of North Dakota European Music Tour that would be traveling to six different countries in Europe within sixteen days! Throughout this trip I would be immersed in various cultures and be alongside a group of musicians my age from around the state. I would love to be able to have this European experience, that being said it has been a difficult but smart choice to go to New York for a similar trip. The cost is significantly lower and will still be a wonderful experience and life goal to travel. So I am asking for your help in providing me with the opportunity to go. The trip will cost around $3,300 in full and is to be paid over the coming months with a total of 4 payments. Although travelling and being able to go with a group of musical peers is a dream of mine, I understand that without the support from the people I know I will not be able to go.
