Del Mar Richardson, the original drummer of the Super Heroines, has suffered a life-changing accident while living in Spain. He fell into a deep hole in the sidewalk, shattering his femur—a critical bone that required major surgery to repair. Now he faces not only the aftermath of surgery, but a long stay in a convalescent facility and a grueling four-to six-month recovery before he can return to normal life.

I’m Cat Noel, drummer from a later lineup of the Super Heroines, and I’ve joined forces with Sandra, the band’s original bass player, to rally the punk rock, deathrock, and music community—as well as our wider circle of friends and family—to stand with Del Mar during this difficult journey.

Although Spain has socialized medicine, as an American living abroad, Del Mar still faces significant out-of-pocket costs for rehabilitation, medications, daily living expenses, and months without income.

Every contribution will go to Del Mar to help cover his recovery and living expenses during this long healing process.
