Help a 34-Year-Old Fighting CKD Stage 5 Stay Stable During the Hardest Time of Her Life.
Hi everyone, my name is Deja. I’m 34 years old, and this year has become the most challenging one I’ve ever faced. I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5, and since then my life has been turned completely upside down.
In March 2025, my health declined to the point where I could no longer work. Losing my job didn’t just affect my sense of stability—it instantly wiped out my only source of income. I applied for disability, but as many know, the process is slow and full of long waiting periods. While I wait for approval, the bills keep coming.
To stay afloat, I’ve had to make painful sacrifices, including selling my car, which was my only reliable transportation to medical appointments and daily necessities. Even after doing everything I could, I’m still falling behind on basic expenses like:
* Housing and utilities
* Food and daily living necessities
* Transportation to medical appointments
* Medical-related costs not covered elsewhere
I’m doing everything in my power to stay strong, but right now I can’t do this alone. I’m asking for help—no matter how small—to get through this period until disability benefits come through. Your support would give me the stability to focus on my health instead of worrying about how I’m going to survive day to day.
If you can donate, share, or even just send words of encouragement, I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for caring enough to help.
Thank you for helping me fight through this.
