My name is deidre Ferrentino, and I am reaching out for help during one of the most challenging times of my life. In May 2024, I was diagnosed with cancer, which forced me to leave my job. Since then, I have been facing not only the physical and emotional toll of my illness, but also the financial strain that comes with it. As an 81-year-old widow, I am on my own and my only source of income is Social Security, which simply isn’t enough to cover my basic needs.

I am unable to work now and, despite my efforts, I have not been able to find part-time employment because my health is holding me back. The medical bills continue to pile up, and I am struggling to afford essentials like food and prescriptions. My savings are almost gone, and I have no other financial support to rely on. Every day is a challenge, and I am doing my best to stay hopeful and strong, but I know I can’t do this alone.
