On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa ripped through Jamaica with 185 mph winds—the most powerful storm to ever hit the island. Whole communities vanished overnight. Floodwaters swallowed homes, roads, and memories. The destruction wasn’t just physical—it tore through lives.
In Deeside, Trelawny, three connected households—parents, grandparents, and their adult children—are left standing in the ruins of everything they built. Their homes are gone. Their roofs, furniture, and family keepsakes—gone. Even their important documents have washed away. What remains is their faith, their courage, and the hope that someone, somewhere, still cares.
These families have lost 95% of everything they own. What’s left—5%—their strength and will to rebuild, and that isn’t enough on its own. They need our help.
Your donation will go directly toward:
• Safe, dry shelter for all three families
• Clean water, food, and hygiene essentials
• Roofing, lumber, windows, and doors to rebuild
• Basic furniture and bedding so they can rest and recover with dignity
We’re raising $10,000 USD to help them begin again. Even $5 can help put a roof over a child’s head or food on a grandmother’s table. Every single gift matters.
When you give, you’re not just sending money—you’re sending hope. You’re reminding these families that humanity still has a heartbeat.
Let’s help turn despair into a new beginning. Let’s be the light that breaks through their darkness.
This is more than a fundraiser — it’s a movement born from the Jamaican spirit of “Out of Many, One People.”
Because when one family hurts, we all feel it. And when we stand together, there’s nothing we can’t rebuild.
Please give what you can. Please share their story. Together, we can rebuild more than homes — we can rebuild lives.
From the bottom of their hearts — thank you.
