Support Dee to get stem cell therapy for her MS

My best friend has multiple sclerosis (MS).

For those of you that don't know what MS is, it is a chronic disease of the central nervous system. MS is an unpredictable disease that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body through a deterioration of the myelin sheath. MS is unpredictable and people often lose the ability to see, write, speak, move and walk.

Dee has known about her MS for many years and believed she had it beat through some practices, but as of late, symptoms are becoming prevalent for her. Indeed this is a scary reality to face!

At present, her neurologists and doctors have advised her to undergo and begin taking a medication called Aubagio. Aubagio only slows the onset of symptoms and progression of MS but does not stop it from happening. Furthermore, Aubagio is a very harsh drug that emulates side effects similar to undergoing chemotherapy and can cause cancer.

Undergoing this medication will impact her ability to work and provide herself with a steady stream of income. Additionally, MS is a severely disabling disease disrupting every aspect of life, even things as simple as self care.

Most importantly, Dee has conducted extensive amounts of research on MS and she would like to undergo stem cell therapy for MS which can slow, stop or even reverse the progress of the disease. About 80% of patients remain disease-free long-term following an autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

This cutting-edge science is a procedure only offered in very few places in the world and is quite costly so we are reaching out to you for support in helping Dee in her journey to thrive and survive.

Dee would never ask for help and this undertaking is difficult for her, but she can’t do this alone and she needs her community to pull together for her.
