Our mom is a long-time resident of Westport Island, ME, where she raised two kids and still cares for her aging parents, our grandparents. UPDATE: We now have more information on what's been going on. Unfortunately, we have learned that mom has lung cancer. She is in good spirits, despite the diagnosis, and has decided to fight this awful disease with all she's got.

She will begin radiation therapy next week, followed by chemo and immunotherapy. This means that she will have many, many more appointments and a lot of travel to and from appointments and treatment. We are anticipating a long road ahead.
