Support Dedric D.'s Healing Journey

Hello GoFundMe Family,

A week ago, in a small town in Florida—Monticello, Florida—a young child was shot in the head while outside in his safe neighborhood. Dedric D., 16, was looking forward to another child-like day which ended up changing his life as well as his parents (Kista and Dedric Sr.) and family. Before the incident Dedric was always a soft spoken child who would always show kind mannerisms-His dimples could melt the toughest guy’s heart. Dedric also loves to play baseball and enjoys fishing-video games and spending time with family and friends. He also plays the drums at his church “Bethel A.M.E” Church on Sunday morning. He attends Jefferson County middle/high school located also in Monticello where he makes good grades. Now, Dedric is fighting for his life in the hospital, and he is taking small steps to heal as best as God sees fit. Being a close caring cousin in this family to Dedric and his mother, we’re asking for help as Kista, will need to temporarily halt her career responsibilities and care for her child. Help will be needed for unforeseen medical bills, travel, stay, therapy; as well as monthly bills that will accumulate as this process goes on. At this time we don't have the last say; God does, and while he is getting the steps in order, some financial help will be needed. Thank you.
