Dear friends and family,

I am reaching out on behalf of my mother, Diedra (Dede) Delaney. Our world was turned upside down in November 2022, when she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. To say that this was a shock to us all would be an incredible understatement. Although this news was devastating to say the least, my mother did what she has done her entire life - FIGHT.

From the moment that she was diagnosed, she took what some might consider a grim prognosis as a challenge that she knew she would beat. For almost 3 years, I have watched her face every challenge and obstacle with courage, positivity, and unwavering strength.

Even with hundreds of doctor's appointments, surgery, biopsies, scans every 3 months, and chemotherapy twice a month, she has worked the entire time. Somehow, while enduring the unimaginable, she still manages to be the most positive, selfless, and strong person that I have ever known.

Over the years, she has undergone numerous life-saving treatments that have worked better than expected. We are beyond grateful for her oncologist and entire team of doctors who have worked tirelessly to curate treatments specific to her condition.

Unfortunately, on July 17th, 2025, she experienced a medical emergency that landed her in ICU, leaving her hospitalized for 5 days. She is currently one week into a new radiation treatment. While she is on the road to recovery, it is going to be a journey. Although she has worked the entire time that she has undergone treatment, this next chapter will require her to take time off to focus on her long-term recovery.

The mountain of financial burden that comes along with cancer is no small feat. Everything from health insurance that continues to increase, outrageous out-of-pocket costs for procedures, and continued life-saving treatments is incredibly costly.

Every donation - no matter the amount - is greatly appreciated as this will only help her to concentrate solely on her long-term healing.
