Hi!
I am in need of some help to have 5 feral, homeless cats, spayed, neutered, and one is in need of medical care for a serious wheezing illness.
The rising cost of living , along with caring for my own indoor rescued kitties, with limited income, has made it difficult to continue to pay for feral cats in need of spays, neuters, and medication.
I was able to TNR, (trap, neuter, return), 40 homeless ,feral cats, at a Gilbert, AZ apartment complex from 2016-2020. This is the same complex this mama , daddy and her kittens live.
The cost was minimal during that time I originally TNR'd.
The cost today to spay & neuter one cat, has more than doubled!
The 5 in need currently , are a mama cat, the stray daddy, and her three kittens. The two older kittens were born at the end of last year, 2024. Then she had another litter three months ago. Only one kitten survived.
My fear is that she is already pregnant again!
The number of cats will rise very quickly if I'm not able to afford to pay for their altering.
Mama cat was successfully trapped on July 29, 2025. Daddy cat was successfully trapped late also! They will be taken to the Spay Neuter Clinic tomorrow for her medical needs , spay & neuter. They will be kept indoors until they are ready to be released back to the only home they've ever known.
Next will be the three kittens, and if they are tameable, perhaps they can be fostered, and placed for adoption upon working with them.
Most feral cats are simply afraid of people. It takes time, perseverance, patience when working with a feral cat to gain their trust. It can be done and they can become a loving indoor cat living longer , happier, healthier lives.
There are over 260,000 homeless cats in Maricopa County, in the metropolitan Phoenix area, according to the ADLA.
It is so important to have all cats spayed and neutered as soon as they are old enough.
Please consider helping with a one time donation so more unwanted homeless cats can be prevented in this complex, along with this mama cat and her kittens having a better quality life.
Blessings,
Deb
