If you know Deb, you know she is the kind of person who cares more about others than herself. She the fun loving, effortlessly charismatic, and deeply loving person who's wiling to drop whatever shes doing to give you her full support. Whether she’s sharing a laugh with friends or spoiling her dog Sparky (don't dare call him fat), Deb lives life with a warmth that is truly contagious.
Recently, however, Deb and her husband, Murph, were hit with news that no family is ever prepared for: Deb has been diagnosed with a brain tumor (glioblastoma) requiring immediate surgery, radiation, and chemo!
This diagnosis has changed their lives in an instant. The illness has caused paralysis on Deb’s left side, turning simple daily movements into monumental challenges. This physical shift comes at a particularly bittersweet time, as Deb and Murph have just moved into a beautiful new home—a place that should have been a sanctuary for their next chapter. Instead, they are facing a house filled with stairs and architectural hurdles that are nearly impossible to navigate with limited mobility.
Why We Are Reaching Out
We are starting this fund to wrap our arms around Deb, Murph, and Sparky during this incredibly difficult time. Our goal is to help ease the staggering financial burden that comes with such diagnosis so they can focus on what matters most: time together!
Your donations will go directly toward:
Rehabilitation Therapy: Specialized physical and occupational therapy to help Deb regain as much mobility and independence as possible.
Medical Bills: Covering the extensive costs of treatments, medications, and specialized equipment.
Home Accessibility: Making necessary modifications to their new home so Deb can move safely and comfortably.
Quality of Life: Ensuring that Murph and Deb have the support they need to manage daily life, allowing them to focus on peace and healing.
Deb has spent her life helping other. Now, it’s our turn to give back to her. Even through the paralysis and the weight of her diagnosis, her friendly spirit remains unbroken. She is fighting to regain the life she loves, and with your help, we can provide the resources to make that fight a little easier.
Please consider donating, no matter the amount. If you aren't able to give, sharing this page with your network would mean the world to Deb’s family. Thank you!!
