Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read about my wife Debra and the struggles she is facing with Pancreatic Cancer.
My wife Debra is an energetic, outgoing, and loved person, mother of 2 wonderful kids and love of my life for over 30 years who loves the outdoors, her family, fur babies and helping others!
She is facing an uphill battle with medical issues that are really scary!
I would never think of asking for help, but this is different than any circumstance I could Ever conceive.
Debra (We call her Evonne , her middle name) Went in to the hospital to have a procedure done to insert a stint because she had a duct from her liver that was closed due to inflammations. While she was there they found a “Mass” that was causing the inflammation that they took a biopsy of. The results came back and the result is pancreatic Cancer.
Floored and instantly devastated doesn’t even begin to describe the initial shock! It still seams surreal . But she is optimistic and in good spirits! A real inspiration!
The doctors are optimistic because it hasn’t spread and at this point she is still pretty healthy . But we need to act fast! Pancreatic cancer is very aggressive and every day counts!
The motions have started to get her started on chemotherapy to shrink the cancerous mass so that it can be removed in a complex surgical procedure known as the Whipple Procedure.
An extremely expensive procedure and recovery. This procedure and care need to come in Charlotte North Carolina.
Evonne has had us on her medical coverage through work and that job and coverage have been terminated. The Cobra insurance has expired .
She has been searching for new employment with good insurance coverage, but to this point it hasn’t happened, leaving us with no health insurance when this diagnosis happened.
I’m a small business owner and her insurance coverage has helped to keep that business going because Health Insurance is so expensive.
So to face this cancer diagnosis is bad enough, but to face it with no insurance and expensive treatment and surgery is scary to put it mildly!
It makes me crazy to think that I’m between a rock and a hard place in making sure my wife is taken care of, and we find ourselves in this position.
Neither Debra nor I like to ask others for help, and we take pride in that!
Pride may be part of our problem because we find ourselves in the position of having to swallow that pride and ask anyone who can afford to donate to please do so.
SHARING THIS IS HUGE!
With an estimate of $250,000 and a large portion up front , Time is critical and I am trying to liquidate everything possible!
You will never know how much Our Family Would Appreciate It your help!
Don’t put yourself into a financial hardship, but every little bit helps!
*Any and All funds raised will be used for medical care and associated expenses.
*If you can’t donate, your prayers are like Gold and hugely appreciated!
Thanks for your consideration! God bless you and yours!
