Help Debra Jones With Medical & Living Expenses

My name is Keshia, and I’m asking for help for my mom, Debra Jones. We have tried to avoid this, but we are at a point where we need help.

If you know Debra, you know she is courageous, full of life, and one of the most giving human beings you will ever meet. And she hates to ask anyone for anything.

Recently, our world turned upside down when she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to her brain, liver, and adrenal glands. This week, she begins both radiation and chemotherapy in hopes of fighting back against this aggressive disease.

Debra has always been independent, but her illness has made it impossible for her to work. Her job was her only real source of income, and now my dad — who is disabled and earns less than $1,000 a month — is doing his best to keep things afloat. Unfortunately, the bills are piling up faster than we can manage, and it is a struggle to even keep the lights on or minutes on her phone.

Her car is their only means of transportation outside of family transporting her to wherever they both may need to go. Our first urgent need is covering this month’s car payment so she can keep her transportation, and from there, help with ongoing medical and living expenses.

Our family is helping as much as we can, but we are struggling too. We’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind strangers to ask for any support you can give — no matter how small — to help relieve some of the financial burden and let my mom focus on what matters most: fighting for her life.
