I am writing to share some deeply personal and challenging news regarding my mother, Debra Segers, and to ask for your support during this difficult time.

For those of you who may not know her, my mom is a single mother of two who dedicated her entire life to helping others as a nurse. She worked tirelessly to provide for my sister and me, always ensuring we had food, clothes, and a roof over our heads. We both have healthy and happy families today, and we truly owe that to the immense effort and sacrifices she made throughout her life.

Now, instead of enjoying the retirement she so well deserves, she is bravely fighting an inoperable, malignant clear cell stage 4 ovarian cancer. This diagnosis has brought with it significant challenges, including strong allergic reactions to her cancer treatments and a struggle to keep up with necessary physical therapy. Our family is doing our best to navigate this incredibly challenging time.
