Support Deborah Anderson's Tokyo Opera Journey

Hello everyone, my name is Deborah Anderson! It has been almost a year since I had the wonderful opportunity to study in Europe, due to the generosity of so many of you! I grew tremendously as both an artist and a person during my programs. I traveled by myself all the way outside of the country for the first time, and that was truly an experience in itself.

This time, I am excited to share with you all that I am on my way to Tokyo! I have been accepted into two programs, Tokyo Opera Studio (TOS) and Tokyo International Vocal Arts Academy (TIVAA). Both programs last about two weeks and will include performance opportunities, masterclasses, and excursions to immerse ourselves in the culture around us. Altogether, both programs cost me $7,000, not including travel. I have already purchased my plane ticket and paid more than half of the program costs for TOS through my own funds. Since I have been accepted into a second program, I am requesting some financial assistance for the next program and housing in between programs. The amount will be due by May 15.

I am truly so grateful to those of you who have supported me in the past, whether that was through showing up to my performances, sending prayers and kind words, or supporting me financially. You all have helped me succeed in my artistic journey, and I am eternally grateful. This is an exciting time for me, and I am excited to share it with you :)
