*Update* Thank you to everyone who provided prayers, donations, and support in other ways. 

After hours of phone calls with doctors and the insurance, we were finally able to get almost all of the medical bills paid for by the insurance, making the medications and leftover copays much more manageable. 

Because of this, we have stopped accepting further donations and will use the existing funds to pay what will not be covered.

Hello, my mom and I are from Los Angeles. My mother Debby’s entire apartment complex was destroyed in the Eaton fire. She has lost everything and was lucky to evacuate with her life.

A little bit about my mom: she is an avid Disney lover and the sweetest woman you’ll ever meet. She is a loving friend that would do anything for those in need and has always taken care of me as an attentive mother. She is 60 years old and disabled with many health problems, including asthma, COPD, heart and liver disease.

I rushed my mother to the ER for a fall she had while evacuating, where they found that she was suffering from smoke inhalation that aggravated her existing conditions. She has been strong and in good spirits despite all the pain and loss, but her new health insurance is refusing to pay for most of her necessary medical expenses and the copays are unmanageable.

My mom’s health and safety is my #1 priority so she’ll be staying with me and I’ll take care of her until she’s back on her feet. I am just afraid we won’t be able to afford the help she needs and wish I could help her more financially.

Anything at all helps to make sure she recovers and has necessary treatments.

All donations will go towards her medical expenses (medications, treatments, copays, etc.)

My heart goes out to everyone that was affected by this tragedy.
