Please meet my sister, Debbie. She is the living definition of strength, determination, and resilience. Over the years, she has faced some of life's toughest challenges, including the loss of our parents as a teenager, the heartbreaking loss of her baby girl, Grace, to anencephaly just hours after birth, and the loss of her children's father. Debbie became a single mom of two boys, navigating the challenges of raising them, especially her disabled son.
Despite these incredible hardships, and with the support of her younger son, her fiancé, family, and friends, Debbie is now facing another difficult battle. She has been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the stomach. While she was supposed to undergo 8 weeks of chemotherapy prior to surgery, she encountered complications after just two sessions, developing two large blood clots in her jugular and subclavian veins, which halted the chemotherapy.
Debbie has since moved forward with surgery to remove most of her stomach at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL—over an hour away from home and family. She is in need of assistance for travel and medical expenses, as well as support for the care and meals for her disabled son during this time.
The road ahead will be challenging, with obstacles she will face both during recovery and in the follow-up care.
We are praying for a cancer-free future for Debbie and hoping for her healing and a speedy recovery. If you can donate, any amount would be deeply appreciated. If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with others could help reach those who may be able to offer support.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and generosity.
