An Update on My Journey — Choosing Memories Over More Treatment

I have some difficult news to share, but also a decision that I have made with my doctors and my family.

After talking extensively with my medical team about how aggressively my cancer has progressed, we discussed my options moving forward. Unfortunately, chemotherapy would likely make me much sicker without giving me more meaningful time. Whether I choose chemotherapy or not, my doctors estimate my life expectancy to be approximately 6–12 months.

So, instead of spending the time I have left feeling even worse from treatment and lying in bed, I have chosen Hospice care and to focus on living. ❤️

I want to spend this time making memories with the people I love. I want to laugh, visit with family and friends, enjoy the little things, and make the most of whatever time God gives me. I don't want my remaining time to be defined by being sick in bed when I could be making memories with the people who mean the most to me.

But I need some help along the way.

Because I am no longer able to work, I have no income coming in. I still have everyday expenses and bills, including my phone bill, that don't stop just because I can't work.

And as difficult as it is to say, I also need to prepare for the inevitable. One of my biggest concerns is being able to afford my cremation and funeral expenses when that time comes. I don't want my family to be left struggling financially because of my passing.

That's why I'm asking for help.

If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. Every $5, $10, $20—or whatever you can comfortably give—will help me take care of the necessities now and prepare for the expenses my family will eventually face.

And if you aren't able to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful to me. You never know who might see it and be able to help.

I know everyone has their own bills and struggles, and I don't take any help for granted.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for caring about me, for praying for me, and for helping me make the most of the time I have left.

I'm choosing memories. I'm choosing family. I'm choosing to LIVE for the time I have left.

And I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who helps me do that.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
