A Plea for Help and Healing

Dear Friends and Family,

My journey over the past year has been one I never imagined I'd face. Last year, I started experiencing moderate to severe low back and leg pain, accompanied by weakness in my legs. Despite the discomfort, I continued working diligently in an outpatient orthopedic clinic for several months before finally undergoing surgery. This surgery left me with screws, a spacer, and a cage—all intended to help me heal.

However, rather than finding relief, my condition worsened. The pain in my back and legs intensified, and I soon discovered that the surgery I had in December 2024 had failed. Now, I require an even more extensive back surgery to correct the issues.

Adding to this challenging situation, I lost my position at work after 12 years of dedicated service. I found out about my termination and loss of insurance 1.5 months after my termination. The lapse in coverage has left me with limited options, and I find myself in financial limbo due to a $8000 deductible that must be paid before I can schedule the necessary surgery.

Having spent over 30 years in physical therapy, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of patients return to their lives, regaining their health and mobility. I never thought I would find myself on the other side of this equation, needing to ask for help. My daily life is overshadowed by relentless pain, making it nearly impossible to find comfort or peace.
