Hey everyone, as some of you may know, my grandmother Debbie Pulk was life-flighted to EMMC early Monday morning. She went to the ER late Sunday night due to not being able to swallow, eat, or drink for 5 days. They found a huge mass in her throat that was dangerously close to shutting off her airway. After arriving in Bangor, the doctors did an emergency surgery and found out that the mass was a huge infection. She spent 4 days in the ICU having tests and procedures done to get as much of the infection out as they could. She has been taken off the ventilator and was moved out of the ICU today.
My mother, Stacie, has been up there with her since early Monday morning. As most of you know, they do live together, and with my mom being in Bangor with my Gram, neither one of them has an income at the moment. Debbie is starting to come around but still has a lengthy hospital stay ahead of her to fully recover, and all she is worried about are bills, groceries, heating fuel, the cost for my mother staying with her, etc.
As most of you know, they are always the first to lend a helping hand to people when needed. I would love to see the community they grew up in help and support them in this time of need.
Any little bit would help, and I know from the bottom of my heart they would both be grateful for the support!❤️
