Support Debbie Evans' Journey to Mayo Clinic

We finally have a full estimate from Mayo! The total is $19,428.08 which includes her tests and procedures. We are shooting for $20,000 to give her some money for incidentals while traveling. Debbie will need to pay this by April 17th for her procedure in April. WE ARE SO CLOSE! Thank you all so much for all the continued support.

We have changed the goal amount to fundraise in stages so Debbie can pull the money out to get into the Mayo Clinic. Phase 1 Get Debbie to Mayo! Stage II will be rolled out when she has a more defined cost with her treatment plan. Stay tuned! And thanks for supporting this wonderful woman!

The team here at Indy Pets Lost and Found come to you with heavy hearts but high hopes. Our leader, Debbie Evans, is a major part of Animal Rescue here in Central Indiana and surrounding areas. She created this group to help pet owners locate lost pets. She has spent endless days and nights helping online, advocating and engaging in physical rescues. Debbie has developed a very strong following of amazing rescues friends who meet on Indy Pets Lost and Found every day. Her dedication and passion for rescue has played a major role in the safe rescue and/or return of countless pets.

A little over a year ago, Debbie began experiencing medical issues and emergencies. She has spent countless hours in and out of the hospital, doctors' appointments and medical testing. Debbie still spent endless hours rescuing and reuniting pets.

The medical testing showed that Debbie has two serious conditions called Dysautonomia and Stage C HFpEF Diastolic Heart Failure which makes her ineligible for a heart transplant. She has been experiencing extreme symptoms and is in desperate need to see a specialist at the Mayo Clinic. Time is of the essence with this progressive diagnosis. Sadly, Debbie's insurance continues to deny Debbie access to care at the Mayo Clinic. This news has been devastating to Debbie and those of us who love her-her family and friends. Due to her condition, Debbie has been unable to work.

We here at Indy Pets Lost and Found know how much Debbie means to our community and we are coming to you, asking for you all to help support Debbie accessing this life saving treatment at the Mayo Clinic. They require a minimum of $5,000 as a down payment to be admitted, but Debbie will need much more than that for testing and procedures.
