In May of 2024, our beloved mother and grandmother, Debbie Dohman, collapsed at work. After being sent to the hospital, our family found out that she suffered a stroke. Doctors quickly intubated her and rushed her into emergency surgery where they were able to administer life-saving medicine and save her brain function. Unfortunately, in the course of treatment for the stroke, imaging revealed that she had a tumor in her lung. More testing revealed that she had Stage 3 lung cancer.

Debbie fought hard through her first round of chemotherapy and was optimistic that the tumor had shrunk enough to allow the doctors to operate. Sadly, we were told that a portion of the tumor is too close to her heart and operating would not be possible. At this time, Debbie is losing her battle with cancer.

Her loving family, including husband Bill, son Matthew and daughter-in-law Katrina, daughter Billi Jean, and grandsons Keegan and Liam, humbly request assistance with medical care and funeral expenses. Personal circumstances have led to these expenses being a significant financial burden. Any and all money raised will go toward paying for her care and to allow her many siblings and extended family the closure that comes with a memorial service.
