"Sunday, January 4, 2026, I suffered a serious fall, resulting in a crushed spinal cord and a broken right hand. The mangled nerve endings cut off the use of my arms, hands, and fingers. Four days later I underwent cervical neck surgery successfully, and now I'm the picture of fashion with a neck brace for the next 8 weeks and an arm cast for the next 6 weeks.

Presently, I am learning to walk again and to eat using my left hand without poking the fork into my cheek. It's a slow process of healing with emotional ups and downs. Every day is one step closer to complete recovery.
