In December, Debbie Clark went in for what she thought would be a routine procedure, but her life changed in an instant. She underwent an unexpected double bypass surgery and spent weeks in the hospital. Since then, her road to recovery has been anything but easy. Over the past few months, Debbie has faced additional complications, including fluid on her lungs, and now relies on oxygen just to breathe comfortably. She is currently in physical therapy, working hard every day to regain her strength, but she is still not medically cleared to return to work.

Because of her extended recovery, Debbie has used up all of her leave from work. With no income coming in and mounting medical and hospital bills piling up, the financial stress is becoming overwhelming on top of everything she’s already facing physically. Debbie is a hardworking, 65-year-old widow who has always done her best to provide for herself and her family. Now, she needs a little help from her community to get through this difficult time.
