My name is Dorothy Hartel. I have been asked to start fundraising for Deb Walsh by her friends and family. Most people know Deb from fandom and her zines.

Deb suffered two major life changing medical events. She had a stroke and currently can only use her left arm. Unfortunately her left leg was severely infected and a below knee amputation was done on emergency basis.

At this time she is still in the hospital and plans are being made for rehab in the future.

Deb has been transferred to a nursing home/rehab. She had regained some movement in her right leg. Her right arm is lagging behind and she is wearing a brace. Her communication is still frustrating getting out the correct words. She had her computer and is actively using it to like our FB posts. The staff has been getting her into a wheelchair
