Hey y'all! I'm raising funds for my wonderful neighbor, Deb, who is navigating some tough times. When COVID hit, she lost her job as an Esthetician and began working as a Medical Merchandiser. Then, two years ago, her youngest son's father passed away and she was no longer able to receive child support. Her oldest son, Kelvin, is an adult with a disability who Deb cares for with limited time and resources. Recently, there were layoffs at her job and she was moved to part-time. To supplement her income, she has picked up delivery jobs but they are not sufficient. Deb will be attending an Esthetician school in Texas to get up to date on her continuing education credentials which will allow her to get back into the field, but she still requires support in the meantime. The last five years have been difficult and have resulted in debt. On top of that, Deb is grieving the loss of four family members, one who was pregnant, due to an apartment fire.

Deb is a kind and welcoming neighbor- she knows just about everyone on our street AND the plants they own. She is a true community builder and compassionate person who has been navigating significant hardships with grace and love for the people around her.
