Support Deb & Nick Through Nathan's Battle
Donation protected
We are raising funds for our sister & brother-in-law & our nephew Nathan. Nathan has been diagnosed with a malignant diffuse midline glioma, inoperable & has reached end stage. Deb & Nick, his parents, just recently buried their son Derreck in April of 2024. Eight months later, they got the devastating news that Nathan had brain cancer & there was no cure. Things have happened so quickly for them & now doctors have hit them with the heartbreaking reality that they will lose Nathan. They were just digging themselves out of debt from losing Derreck. Deb finally got her unemployment approved, but two months later it was denied because she was honest filing on her weekly claim. She was unable to work due to Nathan's terminal condition and he was undergoing radiation treatment in a different state. She will appeal their decision, but it's been 6 weeks now since they have had an income & their bills are piling up.
For most people who know Deb & Nick, you know they would help anyone. They have helped save other people's holidays when people were struggling. They have taken people into their home when people had nowhere to go. They have lent their last 5 dollars to friends & given their last pack of hotdogs to people who needed a hand. They are again facing losing their child. They have barely had time to grieve Derreck, and now they will lose Nathan. They are trying so hard to stay strong for their beautiful 5-year-old son. So please, let's come together as a community & family & friends & anyone able to help & try to help them so they can breathe & spend this time with their son before God calls him home & so they can breathe & not have to keep stressing these financial difficulties. They worked so hard to get where they are at in life after many bouts of heartache, so let's help them stay afloat while they are going through this heartbreaking time.
