Rimrock Grocery AKA The Dam Store
If you've ever stepped foot in this small mountain store, you've instantly felt at home. Deb and Craig have owned and operated the Dam Store for 21 years. In those years, they have developed and maintained a strong sense of community between locals, summer campers, day trippers, rafters, hunters, snow enthusiasts, etc. Hwy 12 and the Rimrock Store go hand in hand. They provide most anything you can think of for your mountain adventures, whether you forgot your toothbrush, need directions, or a few more beers for the weekend. These guys are there and have been there for everyone, every day, any time. It's hard to put into words the sense of family they have created on this mountain. They will give you the shirt off their backs, if you are in need, they are there. So let's be there for them during this time when they need some help.
On July 23rd the Retreat Fire broke out on the mountain just 7 miles down the highway from the store/house, it now sits at 45,000 acres. They have been without power or water for three weeks. Benton REA has no set time frame for when power will be restored, word on the street is it could be out until October. The Rimrock Store has been monitoring their generators 24/7 to try and save as much product as possible. They are losing money with each passing day as the highway is shut down with no opening date in sight and even when the highway opens, business will not go back to normal anytime soon. Deb and Craig have the biggest hearts and most kind spirits I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, this is their livelihood, anything helps.
Thank you so much
