Team Dominican Republic 2026 is made up of 13 seniors and 4 staff from Dearborn Stem Academy in Roxbury, Massachusetts. The team is preparing to go to Moca, Dominican Republic from May 13-20, 2026 to work closely with the community of Arroyo Blanco and La Casa Azul. Various projects include painting inside and outside of 2 local elementary schools to give the schools a rejuvenated look and feel. Students will also work on a Recycling Initiative, creating signs and providing several bins around the community to promote recycling and to prevent the further build up of trash on the streets. Students will also visit local museums and organizations such as the Mirabal Sisters Museum in Salcedo as well as Bachata Academy in Cabarete. Students also meet in Boston twice a month with the adult staff to learn about the history as well as current events in the Dominican Republic. In Boston, the team will also work with Community Servings to help to package food for local families in need.

The Quest Organization has been extremely generous financially to help with a portion of the funds needed for a successful trip. Students will be hosting various fundraising events in school and talking to local businesses as well for support. This will be an incredible experience for our students to work together to serve the community in Moca, Dominican Republic as well as to work on projects in Boston.

Our goal is to raise another $13,000 over the next 6 months.
