Hi everyone,

My siblings and I are starting this fundraiser for our mom, Deanna, who was recently diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer (carcinoma). Thankfully, it was caught early, but she’ll be undergoing a mastectomy at the end of the month and has 2 more surgeries scheduled at a later date. She will be out of work for at least 8 weeks, potentially longer, without pay. As of now, we're still waiting to learn the full treatment plan, which will depend on the results following her surgery.

This all came on so quickly, and while her doctors have been incredible in guiding her next steps, the recovery period will bring some financial challenges. Like many people, our mom depends on her regular paycheck to manage day-to-day expenses, and being out of work for this long will make things a bit tougher than usual.

We just want to make sure she can focus fully on healing and recovery, not stressing about bills or essentials while she’s getting through this.

My mom is so kind and caring, she always makes sure everyone else is okay before she ever thinks about herself. To the friends and family who know her, you know how much she means to all of us. She’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone, whether it’s helping with events, cheering us on, or just being there when someone needs a hand. Over the years, she’s become like a second mom to so many of our friends, and her support and kindness have left a real impact on everyone around her.

Now it’s our turn to be there for her, just like she’s always been there for all of us.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Covering lost income during her recovery

• Medical expenses

• Groceries, utilities, and other essentials while she’s healing
