Just weeks ago, Deanna was doing what she has always done — standing behind her chair at Studio 210 Hair Salon in downtown Puyallup, helping people feel confident, cared for, and beautiful. Today, she and her family are facing the fight of their lives after Deanna was diagnosed with lung cancer.
This diagnosis has turned life upside down for Deanna, her husband Tom, and their two daughters, Aubrey and Sara. The road ahead will be long, filled with treatments, appointments, and many challenges.
Many in our community know Deanna not only as an incredibly talented hairstylist and salon owner, but as someone with a kind heart who has spent years uplifting others. Her chair has always been a place where people felt welcomed, listened to, and supported.
Even in the face of this diagnosis, Deanna continues to show incredible strength and optimism. She is approaching this fight with courage, determination, and hope — the same positivity she has always shared with everyone around her.
Now, Deanna needs that same support from all of us.
The financial burden that comes with cancer treatment is overwhelming, with the astronomical cost of health insurance, medications, treatments, and additional care she may need along the way.
As a small business owner and hairstylist, Deanna’s ability to work will be limited while she undergoes treatment. Time away from the salon means lost income while medical expenses continue to grow.
Why We’re Raising $50,000
Cancer treatment brings overwhelming financial pressure in addition to the emotional toll. Our goal of $50,000 will help cover:
Monthly health insurance premiums
Medical copays and treatment-related expenses
Medications, scans, and specialist visits
Lost income while Deanna focuses on treatment and recovery
Basic family expenses during this difficult time
Community Fundraiser – April 18
Friends, clients, and members of the community are also coming together to support Deanna with a fundraiser at Studio 210 in Puyallup, WA, on April 18th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
The salon will be hosting a Cut-A-Thon, offering walk-in haircuts for donations, along with a bake sale and additional opportunities to donate throughout the day. It will be a chance for the community to show their support, stop by the salon, and rally around Deanna and her family.
If you’re local, we would love to see you there.
Every donation will help relieve some of the financial burden so Deanna and her family can focus on what matters most: her treatment, healing, and time together as a family.
If you are able to donate, any amount makes a difference. If you are unable to give financially, we ask that you please keep Deanna and her family in your prayers and share this page so others can help. Your prayers, love, and support mean just as much during this difficult time.
Let’s surround Deanna and her family with the love and strength of this community as she faces this fight.
