My name is Erin Yeargin. I have a had a hard time until now speaking about this incident and would like the fundraising request to come directly from me. We are here to share the absolute miraculous rescue of my mother, Deanna Glasco. Deanna is a kind and caring person who works as an Uber driver in Spokane, WA. While out driving 3rd shift, at 2:12am on October 2, 2024, Deanna was in a heavily wooded rural area of Spokane Valley dropping off a client. On her way back to the main road (there were no lights of any kind except for her headlights), going down a one lane, very small steep dirt road, my Mom’s car slid down into a very narrow 15-foot deep ravine. After realizing she had not come home by 9am, myself and her roommate Leslie filed a missing persons report. By 10:30 am, Leslie and I were frantically reaching out to see if anyone had heard from her. By God's grace, after reaching out to my father, Leroy Yeargin in Los Angeles, CA, we confirmed that he had my mother on the locator app "LIFE 360", and he was able to give us her last known location. Leslie and I immediately headed out to that spot in Spokane Valley. I yelled, searching for her without knowing how or if I was going to find her. I was sick to my stomach with a range of emotions I had never felt. I saw the steep embankment and thought to check there. This was a heavily wooded area deep with thickets. Leslie was unable to make it down the road or embankment, so I immediately, without fear or hesitation, said, “I'm going down there". We immediately called the police back to let them know we needed help looking for her, describing the area to them. I proceeded down the embankment for some time and FOUND MY MOTHER!!! She was trapped in the deep narrow ravine, unable to open either door. Deanna was stuck there for 12 HOURS before we found her. By God's grace, teamwork and the amazing response from all of Spokane Valley rescue and after 3 hours and the JAWS of LIFE, my mother was rescued and rushed to the hospital, where she remains today. She did not go unscathed however. Mom’s airbags had deployed, and she is seriously banged up and receiving reconstructive surgery on various parts of body. She has a broken wrist, cut eyes, is severely dehydrated and has a shattered right hip. She is still undergoing surgeries and recovery as we speak. My mom’s first concerns were how she is going to pay bills. Her car is also totalled. We are asking for prayers first. We know that God can do anything! And we are grateful to have found her and that she survived. Those of you who know my mother Deanna know that she prides herself on being self-sufficient, which makes not only her recovery difficult, but has already begun to affect her emotionally. Whatever you are able to give will be much appreciated. Please join us in thanking God for my mother, Deanna Glasco.
