Hello friends, family, and neighbors. First thank you for your support during this difficult time. My name is Jershaun and I am the older sister of the handsome, funny, smart and loving DeAndre. On the way to an arcade Saturday evening, May 25th, Dre was involved in a serious car accident that was the result of a car purposely and suddenly braking in front of the vehicle he was in. After the initial crash a semi-truck then hit the vehicle he was in from behind. This resulted in rescue personnel having to use jaws of life to free him and him having to be life-flighted. He has since been in the intensive care unit with a Traumatic Brain Injury, Subdural Hemorrhage, as well as multiple fractures in his face within the cheeks, skull, and eye socket. This result has caused blindness in his left eye. Due to this traumatic event Dre’s life will be changed forever, affecting him mentally and physically. We are so very grateful that he is still here with us however we are saddened that as a 15 year- old he may not be able to do many of the things he loves such as play sports. Any financial help would be so greatly appreciated in this most difficult time in our lives. The financial help will be used for traveling to appointments, time off family will need to take to provide him care, and any extra health care needs/support aides not provided by insurance.
