Supporting Deandre Rogers Jr. — “Junior”
On June 2, 2025, Deandre "Junior" and his family’s world changed in an instant. While he was asleep, a truck crashed into the front of the home - directly into the bedroom where he was sleeping. This tragic accident left Junior with a severe brain injury, and he remains in critical condition.

He immediately underwent emergency brain and skull surgery, was placed in a medically induced coma, and put on a ventilator. A brain monitor was installed to track his brain activity, and doctors later confirmed significant damage to the right side of his brain.

But Junior is STRONG! And he’s already showing signs of a fight. On June 12, doctors were able to remove him from the ventilator, and he began breathing on his own. The next morning, he took his first sips of water and a few spoonfuls of applesauce. These moments may seem small, but they are nothing short of miracles.

More about Junior:
Deandre Rogers Jr. is 18 years old—full of life, heart, and potential. He graduated from Wichita West High School just a few weeks ago, on May 13, with plans to attend Friends University this fall and play the game he loves - football.

Junior has always had a passion for sports—football, basketball, and track. But beyond athletics, his life has been deeply rooted in faith. He grew up in the church and started playing drums for the choir when he was just 8 years old.

Recently, he had also been volunteering with Earthworks Landscaping, helping with outdoor projects and gaining hands on experience. He loved staying active, lending a hand, and spending time outside - especially fishing with friends and family.

He’s the second oldest of nine siblings and is surrounded by a large, loving support system. Junior is known for his big heart, contagious energy, and the way he makes people feel seen and cared for.

Junior will soon be transferred to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals in Lincoln, Nebraska for the next phase of his recovery. This facility specializes in brain injury rehab and will give him the best chance at long-term healing, but it also adds another layer of travel, and medical costs for the family.

How You Can Help
Junior’s journey ahead will be long and full of unknowns. His family is doing everything they can, but the cost of ongoing medical care, therapy, and recovery support is (and will be ) overwhelming. If you feel led to give, any amount will go directly toward easing that burden.

And whether or not you’re able to donate, your prayers mean the world. Please keep praying for healing, strength, and peace and share this with others who may want to support Junior and his family.

Thank you to everyone who has already shown support and lifted him up in prayer. We feel your love, and we are so grateful.
