Sunday night, August 10th, 3-year-old Dean Maddalena became a victim of a horrible accident. She is now in Shriners Hospital for Children being treated for second and third-degree burns on her face and arm. The Maddalena family is doing everything they can to make sure their baby girl does not experience any lasting effects. Dean spent her first three nights in PDH where she was stabilized, then transferred. She is now being seen by specialists who do not yet know the extent of her injuries or how long she will be staying. What they do know is that she will need to have extensive treatments and surgeries to make sure the burns do not scar her for life. This will take a minimum of a few weeks, if not more.

With Dean in the hospital, they still have two young boys to take care of, feed, and house to make sure Dean has as much support as possible throughout this rough journey ahead. Thank you all for the well wishes. We truly wish we could get back to all of you, but the reality of the situation is that Dean requires all of our love and support at this time. We will try to keep you all updated on this journey to recovery.
