Hello, my name is Dean. I am 54 years old and have worked all my life, never once asking for a handout. In September 2025, I was diagnosed with cancer, which turned my world upside down. I was forced to take sick leave from my job to focus on treatment and recovery. Unfortunately, my sick leave has now run out, and I have had to apply for disability benefits. As many know, the process for disability approval can take a long time, and there is no guarantee of qualifying.

I have been using my savings to cover my basic bills and living expenses, but those funds are quickly running out.
