If you know Dean Demmon, you love him! If you don't, you need to!

A funny guy, awesome hubby, dad, Grandpa and FRIEND! If you CrossFit, you've probably met

him…that's IF you go at 5am or Saturdays!

Dean has recently been diagnosed with Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma. He found a lump in his neck that wouldn't go away. After multiple MRIs, CT scans, a Pet scan, a biopsy and a surgical attempt to remove a major tumor in one of his tonsils, Dean is now on his treatment journey.

Radiation 5 days a week with a chemotherapy treatment thrown in once a week for 7 weeks….

hopefully that will kill the F'ing cancer and he can get back to his normal life!! There's a

possibility that he will have to have the chain of infected lymph nodes in his neck removed at

some point.

With all that happening, we want to support Dean and his sweet wife, Kelly, in some way. Meal train won't help as there's a good chance Dean will eventually be drinking his meals! Right now he's only missing one day a week of work for his chemo treatment, but is already feeling the effects. Not certain what the rest of this year looks like for him, we want Dean and Kelly to feel secure financially.

CrossFit 1440 is holding a fundraiser Wod for Dean on July 12 at 8am!!! Spread the word, grab

a friend and come sweat for Dean! We're hoping Dean will still be able to modify whatever the workout is and join in. If not, he will be there to cheer us on.
