On Friday morning, April 24, 2026, my nephew Dean was on his way to work when he swerved to avoid deer, causing his car to leave the road. As a result of this accident, Dean suffered a broken sternum with hematoma and a broken back. He was transferred from Mora Hospital to a level one trauma hospital in the cities, where he underwent emergency surgery to repair his shattered spine. Recovery will take several months and require multiple doctor appointments. Dean will be unable to work for the foreseeable future, and his wife, Marquis, will be taking a leave from her job to care for him and take him to appointments. If you know Dean and Marquis, you know they are the kind of people who show up for their community. They are active members of their church, Journey North, and are very involved in youth ministry. Now is our time to help them in their time of need. Donations will help with medical bills, lost wages, and living expenses while Dean is recovering. If you are unable to donate, please share this. Dean and Marquis appreciate your prayers and support during this difficult time.
