Support DC After Unjust Termination

We are creating this fundraiser on behalf of someone who means so much to our community. For 44 years, DC has been a dedicated and familiar face at Dunder. Before becoming an employee, he was also a student at UNC Asheville. His connection to this community has been lifelong.

Yesterday, DC was unexpectedly fired over an allegation of “stealing company time.” The situation involved his daughter assisting him at the end of his shift -helping him into his truck and returning his work-issued electronic wheelchair back into the school, since it remained on-site while he used a separate one at home. After bringing the wheelchair inside, she would clock him out on his behalf. This occurred only four times. This arrangement had previously been approved by a former manager, yet he was terminated without warning or discussion. After decades of service, this sudden decision has left him facing uncertainty.

We are raising funds to support DC during this difficult time, helping cover immediate expenses and providing stability as he seeks legal guidance and navigates next steps. Any support will mean so much to someone who has given so much to others.
